Senior Project Manager (Nuclear)

Airswift is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and support large-scale equipment replacement projects within one of our biggest nuclear clients. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project planning and execution, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and project success factors including scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and integration.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, project management expertise, and experience in nuclear or high-risk industrial environments. Projects typically fall within “White” or “Green” risk rankings, with potential for higher-risk assignments under Enhanced Support and Oversight Plans (ESOP).

 

Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage all aspects of assigned projects from initiation through completion.

· Ensure integration of projects into site business plans and alignment with corporate procedures.

· Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.

· Select and oversee project teams, ensuring appropriate capabilities and organizational integration.

· Serve as primary contact for contractual matters and project communications.

· Implement project controls and reporting mechanisms.

· Coordinate readiness reviews and post-outage critiques, documenting lessons learned.

· Track and manage project risks, milestones, and discovery items.

· Represent projects in outage planning and execution meetings.

· Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and security standards.

· Sponsor technical and vendor resources, including Em-Pact requisitions and contractor evaluations.

· Approve invoices, timesheets, and provide performance feedback for contractors.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in nuclear or industrial sectors.

· Proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budget across multiple projects.

· Strong leadership and communication skills.

· Experience with risk-informed project ranking and oversight processes.

· Familiarity with outage planning, contractor management, and corporate compliance standards.

 

Qualifications

· PMP certification or equivalent.

· Experience managing equipment replacement projects (e.g., LP Turbine, Feedwater Pump/Turbine).

· Knowledge of nuclear safety and regulatory requirements.

· Experience with project controls software and reporting tools.
