Role Overview
- Receipt Inspection & Verification: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials and equipment, including piping, valves, and rotating machinery, to confirm adherence to project specifications and quality requirements.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all materials comply with industry codes and project specifications, verifying traceability and compliance with our quality control procedures.
- Documentation Review and Reporting: Review and verify critical documentation such as Manufacturer's Data Books (MDBs) and Material Test Certificates (MTCs), maintaining detailed records of inspection findings.
- SAP Quality Management: Utilize the SAP QM Module to document inspection results and manage non-conformances effectively.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conforming materials, collaborating with suppliers to resolve quality issues and prepare non-conformance reports.
- Communication & Reporting: Report inspection results to the QA/QC Manager and prepare detailed inspection reports with supporting documentation.
- Inventory Coordination: Work with warehouse teams to ensure proper storage and handling of materials while conducting regular spot checks for inventory accuracy.
Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Positive Material Identification (PMI).
- Proficiency in using the SAP Quality Management (QM) Module.
- Experience in quality roles within warehouse environments.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret Manufacturer's Test Reports (MTRs) and related documentation.
Education & Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is .
- Certifications: Certifications in Welding, Coating, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), and Positive Material Identification (PMI) are highly desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in receipt inspection or quality control within the oil and gas or manufacturing industries.
