Our client is executing a large project in the low carbon future sector as a Project Control Engineer, where your expertise will drive project success and contractor performance in a construction environment.

Role Overview

• Support the Package Manager in managing project controls for allocated Work Package(s) - Onshore or Offshore package.
• Attend contractor meetings and perform site visits.
• Maintain and update the Package control schedule, integrating it into the overall project schedule.
• Provide progress reporting including schedule updates, KPIs, and variance identification.
• Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and procedural requirements.
• Verify contractor progress and applications for payment.
• Assist in developing action plans to avoid cost and schedule overruns.
• Review and challenge forecast trend analysis for schedules and costs.
• Analyze project deliverables status and forecast man-hours to complete.
• Prepare reports analyzing project progress during development or execution stages.
• Manage the database for project lessons learned.
• Maintain change management records and support evaluation of change orders.
• Support monitoring of permitting progress.

Skills & Qualifications

• Working knowledge of project controls tools and principles.
• Experience as a Planner in the Oil & Gas industry, ideally in construction projects.
• Familiarity with Primavera P6.
• Experience with SharePoint is necessary; knowledge of Assai and Xflow is beneficial.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree .
• Solid ground in Project Planning / Project Controls.
