Purpose of the Role
The Piping Quality Control Inspector ensures mechanical systems, materials, and workmanship align with project specifications, industry codes, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive inspections of piping systems, verifying that materials and workmanship meet applicable specifications, codes, and project requirements.

Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project execution with quality expectations and best practices.

Identify, document, and report non-conformities, working with project teams to ensure appropriate corrective and preventive measures are implemented.

Support and participate in internal and external quality audits, contributing to the overall culture of continuous improvement.

Offer technical expertise and support on quality assurance processes and interpretation of standards, fostering a collaborative and solutions-driven work environment.

Maintain thorough and organized documentation of inspection results, tests, and compliance records in accordance with quality and project management systems.

Qualifications / Skillset

Completion of a technical school program or equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience in mechanical or piping quality control.

In-depth understanding of applicable industry standards, specifications, and regulatory codes governing mechanical systems within the energy, chemicals, and resources industries.

Demonstrated experience in conducting inspections, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, and supporting compliance in complex project environments.

Analytical and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to apply sound judgment and identify opportunities for improving quality processes.

Familiarity with digital tools and quality management systems used for documentation, inspection tracking, and reporting.
