Piping Materials Engineer
KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Piping Materials Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of strategic importance by the Indonesian government.
The Piping Materials Engineer will perform piping material engineering for the Abadi Project (Onshore LNG plant). This role will provide technical support related to Piping material and engineering to the project during concept, Pre FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing, installation commissioning and start-up stages of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare & review:
- Piping material specifications, standards, piping material classes, carry out thickness calculations, valve and specialty item specifications and data sheets
- Piping bulk, valve and specialty item related MTO/RFQ/TBE/PO and review and approve supplier documents and drawings
- Attend the kick-off meetings, Pre-inspection meetings at vendor works after placement of P.O. for Valves, and participate in the FAT for critical Valves
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or related field engineering
- 7 years of related engineering experience, with average experience ranging from 10+ years in a consultancy environment
- Working knowledge and understanding of various Piping Codes viz. ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and NACE, etc.
- Strong experience in performing piping material engineering for Onshore/LNG plant/Cryogenic services
- Proven ability to supervise and guide a team of Material Engineers and provide technical direction in executing piping material engineering work on large LNG projects
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Shall be self-motivated to learn and possess advanced computer skills
