Join our dynamic team as an Onshore Assurance Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring quality excellence within the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work on large greenfield projects in Milan, Italy, where your expertise will directly contribute to the success of critical energy infrastructure.

Role Overview

  • Support the Quality Manager in overall quality activities and preparation of the Quality weekly report and dashboard.
  • Monitor the procurement process to ensure quality assurance and control requirements are met by suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Verify and ensure robust Quality Control established at site by Contractor and main Subcontractor.
  • Investigate identified problems in the application of Project CONTRACTOR’s QMS and propose solutions/improvements.
  • Review and comment on CONTRACTOR’s and SUBCONTRACTOR’s quality documentation for logical process flow.
  • Ensure timely review and approval of project quality plans and key project management procedures.
  • Confirm that CONTRACTOR’s quality documents are approved without comment before SUBCONTRACTOR endorsement.
  • Attend weekly quality management meetings to monitor CONTRACTOR’s quality activities and follow-up on audit outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance of vendor material preservation and storage with contract requirements.
  • Implement a Vendors and sub-Vendors quality surveillance plan in compliance with approved ITP.
  • Identify and follow-up on Project nonconformities, derogations, deviations, and corrective actions until resolution.
  • Liaise daily with the inspector coordinator to record and follow all quality issues identified during inspection.
  • Ensure all punch lists from FAT are closed by Vendor before the issuance of the release note by CONTRACTOR.
  • Define and implement the preservation visit plan for completed equipment stored at vendor’s workshop or yard.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) expertise.
  • Strong auditing skills with a focus on quality assurance and control.
  • Ability to assess procurement processes for quality compliance.
  • Proficient in reviewing quality documentation and construction procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for investigating QMS issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with contractors and subcontractors.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant subject required; advanced degree or professional qualifications .
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with 5 to 10 years in the field of quality assurance.
  • At least 10 years of experience on large greenfield projects, preferably in LNG liquefactions, GTL, petrochemical, refinery, or gas processing/feedstock plants.
