IT Planning Analyst

Responsibilities - 


  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for  IT, including gathering purchase requisitions from supervisors.

  • Facilitating delivery of materials and services from vendors/business partners.

  • Coordinate the local tendering process from the Tender Plan preparation to the Award Recommendation and Contract Agreement stages along with procurement.

  • Manage single-source approval processes, including gathering the scope of work or material, preparing approval request documentation, and tracking approval status.

  • Monitor Purchase Order (PO) validity and contract spending; initiate any necessary contract amendments and PO revisions.

  • Address issues related to Account Payables activities, including invoices, delivery notes, and payment updates with invoicing/payable teams.

  • Maintain vendor contacts and active contract agreements; organize periodic coordination meetings with vendors.

  • Engage vendors on a timely basis to ensure on-time delivery of purchases to support IT and business needs.

  • Support new vendor registration requirements with the Procurement group and ensure vendor compliance.

  • Monitor overall vendor performance and address any non-conformance issues.

  • Coordinate input from each section supervisor regarding their team's planned Operating Expenses (Opex) and Capital Expenditures (Capex).

  • Collaborate with the IT Planning group to address business requirements and meet the Iraqi Ministry of Oil's expectations on the WP&B budget.

  • Work with supervisors to develop a training plan to build technical and leadership competencies for IT secondees, in line with the WQ1 Employee Development process.

  • Submit the annual training plan and support any out-of-country travel and training requests





Qualifications - 





BSc Degree in Engineering, Information Management, or/and Business Management





Experience - 




  • Over 10 years’ career experience in IT Server Ops, back-office application and datacenter management & support role.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Analytical mindset.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Upper intermediate proficiency in English (verbal & written).

  • PMP/ITIL certificates .

  • 2-3 years of experience in a IT management or contract/or planning management role.

  • Professional experience working in O&G enterprise and upstream company is highly .

  • Proven project management skills with PMI PMP or Prince certificate is .

  • Certified in ITIL framework is .
