Airswift is seeking a seasoned IT professional in Houston, TX. In this opportunity you will support a Major Player in the Oil and Gas Industry on a long-term assignment.

In this pivotal role, you'll become the Desktop Orchestrator – a leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan to optimize and standardize our desktop platform. You'll leverage your SCCM expertise to manage the infrastructure, ensure compliance, and empower our team with best practices.

Here's what sets this role apart:

• Drive Desktop Optimization: Develop and implement a strategic plan to optimize and standardize our desktop platform, fostering a seamless user experience.
• SCCM Mastermind: Manage the SCCM infrastructure, ensuring operational excellence. Guiding us with best practices for patch management, compliance, and platform utilization.
• Application Deployment Champion: Create and manage application deployment objects for new and existing software, ensuring smooth application rollouts.
• Collaboration Catalyst: Foster ongoing communication with support teams regarding application issues and general workstation management, facilitating efficient problem resolution.
• Technical Expertise & Leadership: Provide 3rd level technical support for the desktop platform, collaborate with key vendors on support and strategy, and mentor junior team members.

We're looking for someone who:

• Possesses a minimum of 5 years of experience in similar IT support roles.
• Holds a strong understanding of SCCM infrastructure management and best practices.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment where problem-solving and adaptability are key.
• Excels at collaboration and communication, working effectively with diverse support teams and clients.
• Demonstrates a passion for continuous learning and staying current with evolving IT technologies.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with application imaging and packaging.
• A background working in the oil & gas industry (a plus, not a must).
• Familiarity with VMWare Horizon and elevated privilege management systems (like CyberArk).
