Our client is seeking a qualified HSE Coach/Advisor with valid Radiation Protection Supervisor certification to join their offshore team in the UK North Sea. The asset is currently undergoing decommissioning and this role will be the main signatory for NORM management of waste from the asset.
Role Overview
- Lead Environmental Awareness Training Program: Develop and implement training for staff on environmental practices.
- Ensure Environmental Conformance & Compliance: Monitor and enforce adherence to environmental regulations and standards.
- NORM Management: Act as the main signatory for the NORM management of waste, ensuring proper logging in the database prior to shipment onshore.
- Collaborate with Offshore Teams: Work closely with various teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential - current RPS (Radiation Protection Supervisor) Certification: Required for managing NORM waste and ensuring compliance.
- Current valid Offshore certification: BOSIET, MIST, Medical.
- Environmental Awareness Training: Expertise in developing and delivering training programs.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental laws and compliance requirements.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively convey safety and environmental information to diverse teams.
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in assessing risks and implementing effective solutions.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field .
- Certifications: RPS certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in HSE roles, preferably in offshore environments in the UKCS.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive PAYE daily rate based on experience and qualifications.
- Contract until 30-Apr-2026 with potential to extend further.
