Graduate Civil Engineer

Purpose of the Role: 

The Graduate Civil/Structural Engineer provides technical support in the analysis and design of civil and structural systems under the guidance of senior engineers. The role is designed to develop engineering capability through hands-on involvement in calculations, preparation of design documentation, and coordination with designers and other disciplines. By contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient, and compliant structural solutions, the Graduate Engineer builds professional competence while gaining exposure to international codes, industry practices, and company standards. The position offers structured learning, mentorship, and project experience to support progression toward professional accreditation and a long-term career as a Structural Engineer. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in performing civil/structural analysis, reports and tasks in accordance with project requirements, schedule and technical requirements. 

  • Interface with other engineering disciplines. 

  • Learn project workflows, industry standards and software tools. 

  • Occasional site visits. 

Qualifications / Skill Set: 

  • Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field 

  • Registration with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as Graduate member. 

  • Fresh graduate or 1-2 years of experience in civil/structural engineering. 

  • Beneficial: Engineering experience in buildings, structural, infrastructure and foundation design and conversant with Eurocodes and other relevant international codes and standards. 

  • Basic proficiency in STAAD.Pro or similar engineering analysis software. 

  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite. 

  • Good written and communication skills.
