Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Offshore (Deep-Water Project – Mozambique Region)
Employment Type: 3 Contract, 28/28 rotation
Start date: Must be available for 7th August 2025 to board the Vessel
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to oversee a deep-water marine geotechnical investigation. The project scope includes box coring, piston coring, API drilling, and seabed drilling systems.
This role demands a detail-oriented and technically adept individual with extensive offshore experience, particularly in hemipelagic clay environments and complex depositional settings. Prior work offshore Mozambique is a distinct advantage.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate geotechnical operations, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.

Invigilate and manage performance of marine geotechnical subcontractors.

Review, approve, and deliver timely daily progress reports.

Maintain high standards of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) vigilance throughout operations.

Provide technical oversight of in-situ testing and borehole sampling activities.

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and offshore teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Monitor quality control of data acquisition and sample integrity in challenging offshore environments.
Qualifications:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree .

10–15 years minimum experience in marine geotechnical investigations.

Demonstrated expertise in offshore soil characterisation, especially in hemipelagic clay formations.

Familiarity with industry-standard geotechnical equipment and procedures, including API and seabed systems.

Strong leadership and time management skills in offshore project environments.
