Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused SWD / Water Lease Operator to support daily operations of saltwater disposal facilities and water handling systems. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in field operations, equipment monitoring, and maintenance in oilfield water management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in remote environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SWD facilities and water lease equipment in accordance with safety and operational procedures
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks, and pipelines
• Monitor injection pressures, tank levels, and flow rates to ensure optimal performance
• Collect water samples and perform basic field tests for quality assurance
• Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, escalating critical failures as needed
• Maintain accurate records of water volumes, equipment status, and maintenance activities
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective work
• Provide detailed shift handovers to ensure operational continuity
• Respond to alarms, emergency shutdowns, and abnormal operating conditions
• Support emergency response efforts and report incidents per company guidelines
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure safe and efficient operations

Basic / Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in SWD operations, water lease operations, or similar oilfield roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge of pumps, valves, and fluid handling systems
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote locations
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

Qualifications

• Experience with automated SWD systems and remote monitoring tools
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and water disposal compliance
• Safety certifications such as H2S, First Aid/CPR, or PEC
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Previous experience in the Permian Basin or similar field environments
