Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer – Civil/Structural to support major capital project works at an onshore site in Western Australia. This position plays a critical role in delivering safe and efficient civil works execution while ensuring alignment between engineering, construction, and field execution plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence (20%)

Promote a culture of safety and contribute to an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) workplace.

Proactively identify and address safety risks with a focus on preventing Serious Injury or Fatality (SIF) incidents.

Ensure safeguards are effectively implemented and maintained.
2. Construction Engineering (60%)

Manage technical interfaces between construction contractors and engineering teams via the Technical Query (TQ) process.

Understand and track engineering deliverables to support efficient on-site execution of civil works.

Collaborate closely with Construction Engineers to develop execution plans, define Scope of Work (SOW), and support contractor selection and award processes.

Provide regular progress, quality, and schedule updates to the onsite Construction Lead.

Support the deployment of fit-for-purpose work processes, guidelines, and standards to drive execution efficiency, technical integrity, and quality outcomes.
3. Operations Science (20%)

Partner with the Operations Science Analyst to implement productivity and efficiency initiatives.

Identify worksite barriers and collaborate with contractors and internal teams to drive resolution.
Key Requirements:

5–10 years of experience in civil engineering and construction, ideally in project-based environments.

Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, standards, and multidisciplinary interfaces.

Experience with field construction support, technical query management, and stakeholder coordination.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams.

Experience in underground infrastructure installation, trenching, and heavy civil works .
Project Scope Overview:

Civil works include the installation of underground infrastructure at two drill centres to support new processing facilities.
-
Project includes approximately 13 km of trenching to connect existing processing infrastructure with remote locations.

Role is site-based on a FIFO roster, requiring close coordination with construction contractors and field teams.
