Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Commissioning Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of commissioning activities for industrial projects in Sherwood Park, Alberta. This role ensures safe, efficient, and timely startup of new or modified equipment, working closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures

Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and specialists to ensure readiness

Oversee system handovers, FATs, SWATs, and site inspections

Ensure compliance with safety standards and documentation protocols

Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) and project close-out activities

Maintain daily reporting and shift turnover coordination
Qualifications

10+ years in electrical/instrumentation trades; 5+ years in commissioning leadership

CET designation or Project Management Certificate (asset)

Strong knowledge of oil & gas processing, control systems, and P&IDs

Experience with Bluebeam and completions software (e.g., PIMS Omega)

Excellent communication, scheduling, and safety leadership skills
