Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing the civil/structural engineering discipline and managing the contractor during FEED/EPC phases. Ensures all technical deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements, and comply with project specifications and standards.



 

Job Context & Major Challenges

• Guide contractors and third parties to deliver timely and compliant engineering outputs
• Maintain constructive relationships across engineering, construction, and operations teams
• Ensure alignment and integration of civil/structural work across interfaces
• Role transitions from office to site-based during project execution

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Exhibit strong safety leadership and behaviors
2. Ensure engineering activities meet regulatory and project standards
3. Resolve discipline-specific issues to meet project objectives
4. Promote design integrity and safety through approved recommendations
5. Oversee contractor design execution and verify resource adequacy
6. Provide discipline input across engineering, construction, and commissioning
7. Conduct technical evaluations and resolve cross-discipline issues
8. Lead interface coordination with other project scopes and third parties
9. Maintain design revision chronology for contract administration
10. Monitor schedule and progress while managing design changes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Experience

• 8 years in engineering roles, including 4 years in Oil & Gas
• 1 year in supervisory or oversight capacity
• Experience with contractors, vendors, and service companies
• Exposure to sour service gas, LNG facilities, offshore platforms/pipelines
• Knowledge of berth design, seabed dredging, brownfield execution
• Experience in tank foundation design, geotechnical, drainage, precast, steel structures, building and dynamic equipment foundation design
• Blast design experience is a plus

• Fluent in English (written and oral)
• Strong leadership, analytical, and coordination skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Deep understanding of civil engineering codes and standards
