Job DescriptionYard Operative / Maintenance Assistant
Brixworth, Northamptonshire
Monday to Friday - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary - £27,500 

ACS Staffing Solutions are looking for a reliable and proactive person to join our client's team as a Yard Operative / General Site Assistant in Brixworth. This is a hands-on, varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of the site, including machinery handling, site maintenance, and logistics support. 

Key Responsibilities:

\n
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard and wider site areas

\n

• Load and unload machinery from lorries and trailers safely

\n

• Clean and paint machinery to a high standard

\n

• Accurately complete administration for all inbound and outbound deliveries

\n

• Assist engineers with tasks and general support

\n

• Carry out basic building maintenance as required

\n

• Refuel and defuel machinery in line with safety procedures

\n

• Deliver and collect machinery parts and items locally

\n

• Report hazards, near misses, and incidents in accordance with company policy

\n

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures

\n

• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager

\n

 Requirements:

• Full clean UK driving licence (Essential)

\n

• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence (Counterbalance)

\n

• Good communication and teamwork skills

\n

• Strong attention to detail, particularly with documentation

\n

• Reliable, punctual and willing to work in all weather conditions

\n
