Job Summary
The Yard Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day yard, vehicle movement, and workflow operations within the OEM Auto Logistics Processing terminal. This position ensures safe, efficient, and accurate movement of import/export vehicles through all stages of processing while maintaining operational excellence, team performance, and full compliance with Enstructure policies, OEM standards, and port authority requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees Assistant Yard Supervisor, Lead Yard Driver, Body Shop Supervisor, Drivers, Scanners, and additional yard support staff.
- Lead and manage daily yard operations, including vehicle receiving, staging, inventory control, and outbound dispatch.
- Coordinate with port operations, OEM representatives, trucking partners, and internal departments to ensure timely vehicle flow and processing.
- Oversee team members performing driving, scanning, quality checks, damage inspections, and yard control tasks.
- Ensure all vehicles are handled safely, following proper driving procedures, speed limits, and OEM handling requirements.
- Monitor yard layout and maximize space utilization to support production goals and vessel/truck schedules.
- Track KPIs and operational data to identify workflow delays, prevent bottlenecks, and support continuous improvement.
- Conduct daily shift briefings, safety talks, and ongoing training to maintain high safety and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with port security protocols, OSHA regulations, environmental rules, and Enstructure safety policies.
- Collaborate with leadership on staffing needs, schedules, operational planning, and resource allocation.
- Investigate incidents, damages, or operational issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License – Required
- Ability to operate an automatic and manual transmission vehicle - Required
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical examination
Experience:
- Previous experience in auto accessory installation, automotive repair, or related mechanical work is strongly .

Certifications:
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Ability to regularly stand, walk long distances, and talk and hear.
- Ability to frequently use hands and arms to grab, handle, feel, and reach.
- Ability to occasionally sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, or crawl.
- Ability to occasionally climb ladders or stairs.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- You must wear the required safety PPE, Safety vest, hard hat, gloves, etc.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Working indoors and outdoors.
- Excessive heat or cold, extreme weather conditions, excessive humidity or dampness or chilling.
- Slippery and uneven walking surfaces.
- Work around machinery with moving parts.
- Work around moving objects, vehicles, and moving machinery/heavy equipment.
