General Summary:

Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

OR

• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.

OR

• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Responsible for Arm-based Windows platform power test execution for DOU (Day of Usage), Gaming and other use cases to cover typical user scenarios, identify platform issues and perform power competitive analysis. In this position, the technical area covers the entire system including CPU, GPU, NPU, DDR, Multimedia, WIFI, Modem and so on. It is easier to gain a deep understanding of system architecture.

Support product testing and providing reliable test data and reports across different functional teams.

Perform power breakdown for various user scenarios, including Video Streaming, Web Browsing, Office, Gaming, etc. Capture related logs to analyze system behavior.

Identify platform power issues and provide the initial analysis to locate the root cause based on power data and logs.

Support internal feature development testing, participating in feature design, and developing corresponding test cases.

Optimize test procedures, developing test cases and automated use cases, extending test checkpoints, and debugging methods to report more platform issues.

Supporting customer-reported issues and power.

Master power related knowledge and identify potential power optimization via testing.

Skills/Experience:

1-10 years of system testing, or software development experience in Windows/Power/Performance/CoreBSP/Device Driver or other related areas.

Good knowledge in Windows power management, familiar with Windows processor power management options and related concepts such as EMI, ACPI.

Good knowledge in system power/performance, understanding how different components such as CPU/GPU/Memory interact and affect power. Related test or development experience is a plus.

Work experience in Windows power/performance test and be able to perform basic analysis based on ETL log/performance tools (Windows performance toolkit, Xperf…etc) is a plus.

Good knowledge in Arm/X86 CPU architecture and Scheduler, or experience in Android/Linux power test/analysis/optimizing is a plus.

Familiar with hardware and PMIC is a plus.

Good communication skills both in Chinese and English. The ability to collaborate across teams is .
