Salary: £32,000 per annum



The Role/Company



We are currently working with a highly reputable engineering services supplier that specialise in the milling and pelleting industries throughout the UK.



Due to continued growth, they are now seeking to add a Workshop Engineer to their team based at their main site in Haydock, St Helens.



Ideally you will have to have previous mechanical engineering experience. With this role it will involve working on vertical boring machines, reading and understanding engineering drawings, preventive and breakdown maintenance on refurbishment machines.



Responsibilities:



Work on refurbishment die machinery such as a high pressured 36.000 psi jetwash, CSV countersink machines, die grinding machines, vertical lathes, radial arm drills

Using overhead gantry cranes slinging equipment

Using forklift daily for loading and unloading vehicles

Preparing dies and rolls for despatch, wrapping and strapping for safe transit

Ability to read and understand technical drawings

Perform maintenance and repairs on refurbishment equipment to maximise production at our refurbishment facility

Having the ability to identify problems and enhance customer refurbishment of dies by communicating these findings to the operations manager

Exhibit time management skills and the ability to meet customer-driven deadlines

Be able to work as part of a growing team based in Haydock

Ability to work using their own initiative to help deliver production schedules to work under pressure to meet urgent requirements

Being aware of health and safety guidelines and adhering by these dailyExperience/Skills required:



Previous experience in mechanical machine maintenance

Demonstrate a solid understanding of mechanical principles

Possess practical troubleshooting skills and a solid understanding of preventive maintenance

Ideally hold an engineering-based qualification

Ability to work under pressure

Be flexible in a busy working environmentWorking shifts hours are:



(06:00-14:30 Monday - Friday)



(08:00-16:30 Monday - Friday)
