Job Title: Wireless Surveying Engineer\n\nLocation: Nationwide (Travel & Overnight Stays Required)\n\nRate: Daily Rate - Expected weekly £750.00 - £1600 per week. Van Fuel Tools etc all supplied\n\nJob Type: Contract\n\nStart Date: September 25\n\nWe’re looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Wireless Surveying Engineer to join our telecoms infrastructure team. This is a field-based role involving travel and climbing of telecom masts, rooftops, and towers to conduct RF surveys, line-of-sight (LoS) tests, and site audits for wireless network deployments (5G/LTE/microwave).\n\nYou’ll play a vital role in supporting mobile network operators, equipment vendors, and\n\ninfrastructure providers in designing and maintaining next- wireless networks.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Conduct site surveys on rooftops, towers, and greenfield sites to assess suitability for wireless infrastructure\n\n * Perform Line-of-Sight (LoS), RF signal strength, and microwave path testing\n\n * Capture and document data including photos, GPS coordinates, and environmental details\n\n * Generate accurate survey reports using industry-standard software (e.g.
Google Earth Pro, Pathloss, iBwave)\n\n * Liaise with project managers, design teams, and health & safety representatives\n\n * Always comply with all working at height and RF safety procedures\n\n * Use handheld tools and equipment (e.g. laser rangefinders, GPS devices, signal meters)\n\n * Travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential\n\n * Proven experience working at height on masts, towers, or rooftops\n\n * Valid Tower Climber / Rooftop Access / Rescue Training (MATS/Arqiva-approved)\n\n * RF Awareness Certificate\n\n * Emergency First Aid at Work\n\n * Working at Height Medical Certificate (Fit-to-Work)\n\n * Strong awareness of telecoms safety standards and best practices\n\n * Full UK Driving Licence\n\nDesirable\n\n * IPAF (3a/3b) and/or PASMA\n\n * Experience with Pathloss, iBwave, or equivalent survey software\n\n * Familiarity with 4G/5G/RF propagation principles\n\n * Drone survey experience (GVC/A2 CofC)\n\n * Security Clearance (or eligibility)
