Tolar Manufacturing is a well established manufacturer of high quality transit shelters, street furniture, displays and kiosks.

The Welding Supervisor oversees and coordinates the activities of the welding department, monitors all aspects of the jobs assigned, schedules work for all welders on a daily basis. Have good computer skills and be able to input information on a daily basis to the company manufacturing system.

Duties:

• Reviewing plans, drawings, welding procedures, inspection requirements and acceptance criteria
• Monitor and schedule daily work flow to maintain production goals
• Implement strategies to improve department efficiencies
• Reviewing plans, drawings, welding procedures, customer specifications, quality requirements and acceptance criteria
• Responsible for quality assurance, welding inspections and documentation
• Be able to input information on a daily basis to the company manufacturing system.
• Work with other Supervisors to make sure daily production goals are met
• Responsible for planning and controlling proper use of welding materials
• Train employees on proper welding techniques as needed
• Make sure safety procedures are followed
• Provide leadership and guidance to employees on an ongoing basis to promote continuous improvement

Job Requirements

• 10 years of experience as a lead man or welding supervisor
• Expertise in MIG, TIG and Fixture Jigs welding
• Certification
• Ability to manage people in a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization skills, detail oriented
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a must.
