The Welder Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily welding operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality fabrication of components used in the production of piling equipment and accessories. This role involves supervising a team of welders, managing workflow, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating with superintendents and foremen to meet production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Supervision & Leadership:
Provide daily oversight, support, and direction to the welding team, ensuring all work is performed to standard and on schedule. Coach and mentor welders enhance performance, skill development, and adherence to safety protocols. - Production Oversight:
Ensure all welding and fabrication tasks—standard and non-standard—are executed accurately and in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and project specifications. - Technical Execution:
Demonstrate expert-level welding knowledge by assisting with complex or high-precision weldments, as needed. Remain hands-on to support team members during challenging or critical phases of production. - Workflow Coordination:
Organize and prioritize daily tasks for the welding team. Assign specific jobs based on skill levels and production requirements. Monitor progress to ensure timely completion of all fabrication activities. - Equipment & Process Management:
Oversee proper setup and safe operation of all welding-related equipment including grinders, saws, drills, and tapping tools. Ensure maintenance and troubleshooting are performed as needed. - Quality & Safety Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure welding meets quality specifications and safety regulations. Ensure deburring and finishing work is completed accurately. Enforce compliance with company safety standards.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with strong technical knowledge of MIG, TIG, or stick welding (as applicable).
- Prior experience in leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is .
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions with precision.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality assurance.
