We are committed to creating a supportive environment where staff feel valued, empowered, and able to make a genuine difference.The Opportunity of a Welding Instructor This role offers the chance to transition from industry into training and education, helping apprentices and learners develop the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to build successful careers in welding and fabrication.You don't need to be an experienced teacher. If you have strong welding skills, industry experience, and a desire to pass on your knowledge, full support will be provided to help you develop as a trainer and instructor.Unlike many production-based welding environments, this role focuses on quality over quantity, giving you the time and opportunity to mentor individuals and see the impact of your work first-hand.What You'll Be Doing as a Welding Instructor Deliver practical and theory-based welding training to Level 2 and Level 3 learnersCoach, mentor, and support learners from a variety of backgrounds and experience levelsCreate a safe, inclusive, and engaging workshop environmentAssess learner progress and provide constructive feedbackPromote industry best practice, weld quality standards, and workshop safetyContribute to continuous improvement of training delivery and learner experienceWorking Pattern & Benefits 4 days teaching, 1 day administrationWork-from-home option for administration day following successful completion of probationApproximately 12 learners per 6-week intakeWorking hours: 08:00–16:00 Monday to FridayTeaching hours: 09:00–15:0025 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysCompetitive salary dependent on experienceSmall learner groups, allowing meaningful mentoring and supportSupportive, collaborative, family-oriented cultureExcellent work-life balance compared with many traditional welding and fabrication environmentsWhat We're Looking For Strong multi-process welding skillsExperience assessing weld quality and an understanding of welding inspection principlesRelevant welding qualifications, certifications, and/or apprenticeship backgroundKnowledge of health and safety requirements within workshop environmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA genuine passion for developing people and supporting others to succeedTeaching qualification (such as PTTLS) desirable, but support will be provided for the right candidate willing to work towards itWhy Consider This Role?
