JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Welding Fabricator
DEPARTMENT: Production
Location: 1216 4th Ave N. Kent, WA 98032
Hours: Full-time (6AM to 2:30PM, MF or 2:30PM to 1:0AM MTH)
Open Date: Available now
Pay: DOE (Typical $24+) + quarterly bonuses + 100% paid medical
Environment: In-doors, heated shop
Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Production Manager
- Operate welding equipment, primarily mig on carbon steel, on production parts
- Reading blueprints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determining the appropriate welding equipment and settings
- Setting up components for welding according to specifications
- Follow specific work instructions for each task
- Keep accurate record of production and properly document your work.
- Capable of inspecting parts using calipers and tape measures as needed
- Perform in process inspection on your work
Is courteous, personable and respectful of all fellow employees
Works to keep self and fellow company employees safe and out of harms way
Ensures housekeeping and daily PM activities are being performed on machines
Correctly accounts for quantity of pieces made and for clocking in and out of work centers correctly
Competency requirements:
2+ yrs welding experience (, can train)
2+ yrs hands-on experience in a metal fabrication environment.
Ability to read, write, and converse in English
Must have reliable transportation to be at work on time every day
Must be able to record information required on shop traveler
Must be able to read at arms length customers drawing, work instruction and procedures in English
Experience with Fanuc robot welders a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to sit, stand and move around continuously for up to 10hrs/day.
Must be able to lift thirty pounds without assistance and have full physical capability of all limbs
