Duties to Excel In:

  • Adhere to rigorous safety standards while maintaining equipment uptime
  • Enable trainee development by sharing expertise
  • Commit to detailed machine and equipment cleaning
  • Utilize hand measurement tools with precision
  • Understand and apply multimeter readings effectively
  • Change weld tips and maintain guns, ensuring optimal performance
  • Facilitate smooth transitions during welding cell changeovers
  • Perform thorough preventive maintenance for fixtures and cells
  • Run the Red Rabbit process, addressing issues by fine-tuning sensors
  • Comprehend and execute weld fixture adjustments
  • Identify sensor needs and replacements, configuring them appropriately
  • Diagnose and solve welding technology issues and GMAW components
  • Leverage the Plex platform for efficient part tracking and documentation
  • Show expertise in classic and advanced welding methods
  • Oversee dispense systems, ensuring efficiency and component integrity
  • Operate nut feeder systems, resolving jams and alignment issues
  • Conduct foundational resets for welding cells and robotics
  • Calibrate robotic programming points as required

Your Skills and Characteristics:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fulfill the Weld Technician curriculum criteria, passing the probationary terms

Job Location and Timing:

This position operates primarily on the 3rd shift, 7:30 PM - 6 AM, from Monday to Thursday, occasionally Fridays, situated at our Cusseta, AL plant. Initial training on the 1st shift is required.

Role Prerequisites:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Stand for prolonged periods, with accommodation as needed
  • Achieve Auto Tech I & II pass rates, attain qualification card in under a year
