Welder – 1st Shift
Location: Shawnee, KS
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $19–$22 per hour, paid weekly
Job Type: Evaluation to hire

A local company is looking for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join their team! This is a hands-on, full-time position offering steady hours, competitive pay, and long-term growth opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components, including aluminum panels used in concrete forms
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Read and interpret measurements, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before welding
• Operate and maintain welding and safety equipment properly
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance
• Assist with fabrication and other shop duties as needed
• Train new or entry-level welders in basic welding techniques

Qualifications:

• Previous MIG welding experience required (TIG or aluminum welding experience a plus)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for most of the shift
• Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset
