Tracom, a division of Buyers Products, a leading manufacturer in the work-truck industry, is seeking welders of all skill levels to join our teams in the aluminum and steel divisions.
In this position, you'll be exposed to some of the most high-tech welding and fabricating tools in use in the industry. Additionally, you'll be able to help support our company's vision of delivering products of the highest quality to our customers.
Up to $32/hr based on experience. Direct Hire opportunities are available.
What You Will Do:
- Demonstrate skills using MIG and TIG welding processes.
- Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Adhere to safety procedures and processes.
- Examining work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Welding Separately or in combination, using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron and other alloys.
- Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
- Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
- Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
- Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
- Build up worn or defective surfaces.
- Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
What We Need:
- GED or High School diploma required , certificate from a technical or vocational welding school is .
- Understand and apply welding techniques and ability to operate welding equipment with skill.
- Steel/Aluminum experience is .
- Wire-feed welding.
- Mechanical w/hydraulics.
- Fabrications with welding and layout.
Candidates are given a written & hands on weld test prior to the position being offered. Those that possess skill, positive attitude, and aptitude may be offered a direct position.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Standing, Walking, and Sitting for an extended period of time.
- Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to operate power tools and vibrating equipment.
- Ability to work on site to physically support manufacturing requirements.
