Job Description:As the Welder, you will play a critical role in serving the commercial, agricultural, and defense industries for a custom fabricator of metal solutions. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity that, with good attendance and a great work ethic, can lead to a long and rewarding career with numerous opportunities for advancement.Responsibilities:

• Cut and join metals and other materials Verify and document all receipts of incoming materials, goods and services
• Use hand tools for the assembly of fabricated parts
• Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications
• Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or trade completion
• Minimum 6 months' Welding experience – preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Able to stand for long periods

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $15.00 – 25.00 per hour, not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
