Overview for Welder/Fabricator role
AMLR is partnering with a reputable engineering company to recruit a skilled, reliable, and time-served Welder/Fabricator to join their team. You will be required to Fabricate and weld structural steel components, balustrades, handrails, staircases, and architectural metalwork.
Duties for Welder/Fabricator role
* Read and interpret technical drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
* Perform MIG, TIG welding (depending on project requirements)
* Cut, drill, grind, and prepare steel, stainless steel, and aluminium materials
* Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
* Carry out quality checks on welds and finished components
* Assist with on-site installation of fabricated steel and balustrades when required
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely and efficiently
Experience for Welder/Fabricator role
* Proven experience as a structural steel or balustrade welder/fabricator
* Strong welding skills with relevant processes (MIG/TIG/Stick)
* Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel (aluminium advantageous)
* Ability to read and understand fabrication and architectural drawings
