My client in the Loughborough area are looking for an experienced Welder.



The successful candidate will be experienced in MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel, with the ability to weld aluminium considered an advantage.



You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, preparing and welding materials to specification, and ensuring high-quality workmanship throughout.



Key Responsibilities

Carry out MIG and TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel (aluminium experience beneficial).

Read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.

Set up and operate welding equipment safely and effectively.

Measure, cut, and prepare materials to required dimensions.

Clean and prepare workpieces to achieve strong, reliable weld joints.

Inspect and test completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Maintain welding tools and equipment, reporting any issues or faults.

Follow all health, safety, and workshop protocols.

Support general fabrication and assembly work as needed.



Qualifications & Experience

Proven experience in MIG and TIG welding (weld test required).

Proficiency in working with mild steel, stainless steel, and ideally aluminium.

Ability to read and work from technical drawings.

Strong knowledge of safe practices in a fabrication/welding environment.

Basic proficiency in Maths and English.

Strong hand–eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good organisational and time management skills.

Practical problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

Workshop-based role.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn at all times.

Role involves standing for long periods and handling heavy materials.



Working Hrs (2- 10pm) Monday to Thursday
