POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled welder for a structural steel job shop. This position focuses on MIG and flux core welding of structural components based on detailed blueprints. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading abilities and experience working in a custom fabrication environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings for structural steel fabrication

• Perform MIG and flux core welding on a variety of steel components

• Prepare materials and maintain a clean, organized workstation

• Accurately measure, mark, and lay out parts using a tape measure and other tools

• Safely operate basic hand and power tools in a fast-paced shop environment

• Inspect welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in MIG and flux core welding on structural steel

• Strong blueprint and shop drawing reading skills

• Experience in a job shop or custom fabrication setting

• Ability to accurately use a tape measure and layout tools

• Safety-conscious, reliable, and detail-oriented
