Job Description Job Description Welder's Needed 2nd Shift $21.30/hr! Job Description As a Welder, you will perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges. Your role will involve reading blueprints, working in a team, and collaborating under a supervisor. Responsibilities Perform flux core, MIG, and TIG welding on mild steel. Translate blueprints into effective welding plans. Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions. Ensure welding standards are met for quality and safety. Essential Skills Experience in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. 3-6 months of previous welding experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fabrication and fitting. Knowledge of welding with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel. Completion of a weld test (1-5F) during the interview process. Opportunity to attend a two-week onsite welding school before starting floor duties. Why Work Here? Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing steel-toe ankle-high leather boots and long sleeves and pants. Note that contact lenses are not allowed due to welding smoke exposure. The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:15 pm to 12:45 am. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ashland City, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
