Pay: $23.45/hr. - $25.20/hr. + $2/hr., shift differential

Schedule: Four-day work weeks; varied shifts available

Overview:

NCW is seeking a Senior Fabricator Grinder for a skilled position at a manufacturing facility in Springfield, MO. This role requires advanced expertise in stainless steel welding and grinding, blueprint reading, and the ability to perform complex fabrication tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities: including but not limited to

• Perform advanced manual and machine welding operations in all positions, including layout and fit up

• Shape, cut, and form metal parts using press brake, shear, roll, dishing machine, flanging, and forming equipment

• Layout, locate, and mark bending lines, construct templates and patterns

• Set up machines or assist less experienced team members with machine setups

• Operate mobile crane equipment with a capacity over 20,000 lbs. and direct rigging and hoisting

• Conduct finish grinding where abrasive grade/type must be independently selected

• Ensure final products meet strict specifications and finish requirements

• Guide and train employees in various classifications to support skill development and knowledge transfer

• Perform other duties requiring similar skills and abilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must pass company-administered Craftsman test

• Advanced understanding of stainless-steel welding, grinding, and blueprint reading

• ASME welding certifications required or ability to obtain and maintain

• Skilled in fusing dissimilar metals, minimizing distortion, and meeting tight tolerances

• Knowledge of physical metal properties, welding effects, and heat allowances

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications independently

• Strong understanding of shop mathematics, mechanics, and fabrication procedures

• Expert-level knowledge of abrasives, metal conditions, and finish standards
