Welder Job Summary

The Welder is responsible for performing repair and maintenance tasks that require welding and/or cutting using oxygen/acetylene equipment. This role ensures that all welding activities are executed in accordance with applicable procedures, specified standards, and industry best practices.

Welder Responsibilities

• Perform welding and cutting tasks to repair and maintain rig equipment and structures.
• Ensure all welding work complies with safety and quality management principles.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine dimensions and procedures.
• Set up, maintain, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet design requirements and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Welder Position Requirements 

• Minimum of 2 years of welding experience, preferably in offshore or industrial settings.
• Certification as a welder according to recognized international standards.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality management principles.
• Proficient in technical calculations pertinent to mechanical operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to workplace safety.
• Valid USCG Medical Certification.
• Active TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
• Valid US Passport for identification and potential travel requirements.
• A comprehensive resume highlighting your relevant experience and certifications.
• Current MMC (Marine Magnet Certification) is .
