This is a production MIG welding role working on mild steel, involving jig and fixture welding. You will work off work orders, set up jigs/fixtures according to prints, and weld a high volume of frames in various positions, including flat and overhead.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on mild steel using jigs and fixtures.
• Interpret and follow work orders and blueprints accurately.
• Set up jigs and fixtures according to specified prints.
• Ensure accuracy in measurements and welds to meet quality standards.
• Maintain high volume production of frames in various welding positions.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
• Experience with jig and fixture setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Skill in using tape measures and other measurement tools.
• Knowledge of welding in various positions, including flat and overhead.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding is advantageous.
• Familiarity with production and assembly processes.
• Certification in welding is a plus.

Work in a top-tier, clean manufacturing facility specializing in city bus production. The environment is unionized, requiring membership upon hire. Dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. Positions are primarily first shift with potential for night shift transition, featuring rotating Saturday schedules and mandatory overtime.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
