This is a production MIG welding role working on mild steel, involving jig and fixture welding. You will work off work orders, set up jigs/fixtures according to prints, and weld a high volume of frames in various positions, including flat and overhead.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on mild steel using jigs and fixtures.
- Interpret and follow work orders and blueprints accurately.
- Set up jigs and fixtures according to specified prints.
- Ensure accuracy in measurements and welds to meet quality standards.
- Maintain high volume production of frames in various welding positions.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Experience with jig and fixture setup.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Skill in using tape measures and other measurement tools.
- Knowledge of welding in various positions, including flat and overhead.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with TIG welding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with production and assembly processes.
- Certification in welding is a plus.

Work in a top-tier, clean manufacturing facility specializing in city bus production. The environment is unionized, requiring membership upon hire. Dress code includes steel-toe boots, jeans, and a t-shirt. Positions are primarily first shift with potential for night shift transition, featuring rotating Saturday schedules and mandatory overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
