Processed Pipe Welder – Rochester, NY

We are seeking a skilled Processed Pipe Welder to join our team in Rochester, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabricating high-pressure and process piping systems for commercial and industrial projects. This position requires strong technical welding skills, the ability to read detailed blueprints and isometric drawings, and a commitment to precision, safety, and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pipe Welding & Fabrication: Weld and fabricate processed piping systems using TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques, including stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys.
• System Installation: Install prefabricated and field-routed process piping according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret piping isometrics, blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings to ensure accurate layout and welding.
• Fit-Up & Assembly: Perform pipe fit-up, tack welding, grinding, and preparation for final welding; ensure all welds meet project and code standards.
• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections and assist with pressure testing, x-ray, or other NDT as required.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a pipe welder in commercial or industrial settings.
• Proficient in TIG and Stick welding on process piping (stainless steel, carbon steel, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and isometric drawings.
• Experience with orbital welding or sanitary welding ( but not required).
• Skilled in pipe preparation, layout, and quality weld execution.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to job site safety.
• Physical capability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required based on project timelines.
