Warehouse Manager (Commercial Moves)- Sterling, VA

Alchemy is assisting a well-established moving company with its search for a Commercial Warehouse Manager to join their growing team in Sterling, VA. This role requires a proactive professional with a strong background in warehouse management, preferably within the moving industry. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for managing company and client inventory, optimising goods handling processes, and maintaining a safe, structured, and efficient facility.

What you'll be doing:

• Manage company and client inventories.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee inventory receipt, processing, storage, and distribution.
• Manage the warehouse in line with corporate policies and goals.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers, and transportation providers.
• Optimize facility and racking architecture for efficient flow.
• Ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.
• Maintain warehouse health, safety, and security requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Over 3 years of experience as a warehouse manager in the moving sector.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing warehouse staff and schedules.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance related to warehouse operations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards within a commercial warehouse setting.
• Proficient at operating forklifts.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to demonstrate outstanding organizational skills.
