Role Description - Warehouse / Equipment Maintenance Coordinator
Reports To: General Superintendent
The Warehouse/Equipment Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and managing the logistics of company-owned tools, equipment, and job site materials. The ideal candidate takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, ensuring that all equipment is inventoried correctly, serviced, and readily available when and where it's needed. This hands-on role plays a key part in the success of our project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inventory Management:
o Maintain organized storage of all equipment, tools, parts, and jobsite supplies.
o Keep inventory tracking logs accurate and up to date.
o Ensure proper handling, storage, and security of materials both in the warehouse and at job sites.
o Maintain and update a list of miscellaneous building hardware; distribute to project managers and site superintendents monthly.
o Fulfill hardware requests by pulling and delivering parts to job sites, updating inventory logs accordingly.
· Equipment Transport:
o Pick up and deliver company-owned equipment between storage facilities and job sites as needed.
o Ensure safe and secure transportation and set up of equipment and supplies.
· Maintenance & Repairs:
o Perform routine preventive maintenance (PM) on all company-owned equipment, including but not limited to:
§ Oil changes
§ Greasing equipment
§ Cleaning condenser coils on commercial dehumidifiers
§ Replacing belts, capacitors, and switches on commercial air movers (fans)
o Maintain a detailed maintenance and repair log for each piece of equipment, tracking:
§ Preventive maintenance schedules and procedures
§ Dates and descriptions of work performed
§ Equipment location at time of maintenance (jobsite, warehouse, or repair shop)
§ Equipment readiness for job site use
o Coordinate with outside repair centers for major repairs beyond in-house capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications
· Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
· Intermediate knowledge of:
o Gasoline and diesel engine systems
o Basic equipment for electrical repairs (e.g., switches, capacitors)
o Equipment plumbing (e.g., check valves, condensate pumps)
· Ability to lift and move 70+ lbs. as needed
· Comfortable working in remote or outdoor job site environments with limited access to utilities
· Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks without constant supervision
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Additional Requirements:
o Valid driver’s license
o Personal pickup truck or equivalent vehicle capable of hauling equipment; includes a truck allowance and fuel card
o Responsible for supplying own hand tools; Christa will assess and provide any specialty tools as necessary
· OSHA 10 certification required at time of hire
· Work Environment:
o Field-based travel throughout the central, northern, southern tier, and western NY
o Fast-paced and dynamic work environment; candidates must be able to work at “Christa speed” – efficiently and proactively
