Warehouse Automation Engineer

Job Description

As a Warehouse Automation Engineer (m/w/d) within our Automation team, you play a key role in delivering customized automation solutions to Rohlik as well as to our VELOQ clients. You collaborate closely with internal teams, customers and vendors to design efficient and scalable systems that meet the demands of modern warehouse logistics — from requirements analysis to handover to the implementation team.This position will be closely working with the Head of Engineering (direct line reporting). The role requires convincing planning and engineering skills, the ability to work in an agile environment, strong self management skills and a deep understanding of intralogistic.

A holistic project management approach combined with excellent communication skills to internal and external stakeholders is mandatory.What will be your key reponsibilities:Analysis of internal and customer's warehouse requirements, including warehouse size, throughput, SKU variety and specific order fulfillment requirements.Designing of specific warehouse automation solutions such as Autostore, 3D robots, conveyors or any other automated solution, using product-specific tools and AutoCAD3D modeling and simulationBudget and timelinedetailed technical documentation for the solutionInquiries from subcontractors & external componentsStandardization of solution development approach, creation of templatesLeading project initiation and and design and tender phaseWhat experience you should have:You are proud of your degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, economics or a comparable qualificationWith 3-5 years of professional experience of designing and planning of logistics systems ( B2C or Integrator background), you already have gained practicable knowledge & expertiseYou are able to write technical requirements, develop business models, and define support requirements and processesEnglish on a level of business communicationAutocad SkillsGood organization is one of your great strengths, you act proactively and always convince with clear communication both internally and with external service providersYou are characterized by a high level of motivation and enthusiasm and you are open to travel at home and abroadYou feel comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative data to validate hypotheses and drive decisionsWhat do you get in return:Exciting job with essential impact on customer experience and company resultsForming the future of Rohlik fulfillment across EU countriesWork in an international team of top expertsLeading key programs enabling Rohlik operations to grow and scale upClose collaboration with innovation teamsFreedom to achieve given targetsDevelopment plan & potential to grow within company structureCompetitive salary
