Based in South Orange County, the VP of Construction will lead the charge in driving our production department forward overseeing operations, mentoring project leaders, and ensuring every remodel project runs smoothly, profitably, and with exceptional client satisfaction.

WHAT YOULL DO

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Project Managers, field staff, and warehouse personnel
• Oversee daily construction operations, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met
• Create, implement, and refine Standard Operating Procedures to improve efficiency and profitability
• Manage and improve the use of scheduling, budgeting, and field communication software
• Forecast staffing and scheduling needs to keep projects moving on time
• Analyze project performance data, identifying slippage or underperformance and implementing corrective action
• Build strong client relationships by resolving issues quickly and maintaining trust throughout the project lifecycle
• Oversee warehouse, logistics, and material delivery operations for maximum efficiency
• Recruit, hire, and train new Project Managers and staff, building a high-performance team
• Ensure safety, compliance, and ongoing professional development through training programs

WHAT YOULL NEED

• 10+ years of hands-on construction experience, with at least 5 years managing teams of 10+ people
• Proven leadership experience managing Project Managers, warehouse, and field staff
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, and operational systems
• Experience with construction project management software (Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills
• Ability to analyze project performance and financial metrics to guide decision-making
• A history of implementing process improvements that increased efficiency and profitability

HOW WELL MEASURE SUCCESS

• Gross profit percentages and daily gross profit on completed projects
• Meeting or exceeding collection rates for accounts receivable
• Project schedules and budgets maintained by your team of Project Managers
• Low employee turnover and high engagement within the construction department
• Continuous improvements to operational systems and project delivery
