Role Overview:
The person will lead the company’s commercial strategy with a primary focus on securing long-term offtake and purchase agreements for our green mineral product. This executive will play a critical role in positioning the company as a supplier to global industrial buyers seeking low-carbon, responsibly sourced materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offtake & Purchase Agreements
- Lead negotiations and secure binding offtake agreements with major purchasers of green minerals, including electric arc furnace (EAF) operators, automotive manufacturers, and industrial buyers.
- Develop pricing models and contract structures aligned with market dynamics and sustainability premiums.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement leaders at global companies (e.g., BMW, Porsche, ZF, and others).
Commercial Strategy & Market Development:
- Define and execute a go-to-market strategy for green minerals, targeting premium-paying customers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, including niche applications and emerging regulatory-driven demand.
Strategic Partnerships:
- Establish strategic alliances with trading houses, manufacturers, and industrial buyers to support commercialization.
- Collaborate with the technology and operations teams to align production timelines with customer demand.
Regulatory & Policy Engagement:
- Support policy advocacy efforts related to green materials, carbon offsets, and critical minerals.
- Engage with government stakeholders to align offtake strategy with funding and regulatory incentives.
Investment & Financial Support:
- Contribute to investor presentations and due diligence processes by articulating commercial
- traction and revenue forecasts.
- Support the development of commercial inputs for project financing and SC-IPO readiness.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the mining, metals, or industrial materials sectors.
- Proven track record of securing large-scale offtake or supply agreements.
- Deep understanding of global procurement practices and sustainability-driven purchasing trends.
- Strong negotiation skills and executive presence.
- Experience working with multinational clients and navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Willingness to relocate to Boulder, CO, or travel extensively.
