Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a VMware Infrastructure & Systems Administrator to become an integral part of our team! This person will be responsible for implementing and maintaining computer and information networks in our hosting environment, maintaining/supporting internal infrastructure and assisting with second and third level technical support to internal team members and external customers.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, support and improve IT systems and infrastructure which support our customers and internal operations. Examples include: Administration of VMware platforms, Linux and Windows Servers (both Physical and Virtual), connected to storage network with several storage systems
• Monitor health of customer/tenant environments, storage and server infrastructure (both physical and virtual)
• Implement & manage local area networks (LAN), connecting to wide area networks (WAN)
• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance
• Perform network modeling and analysis
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Enforce policies for standardizing systems

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of IT systems administration experience required
• VMware administration experience required, vCD experience
• Active Directory, DNS experience required
• Storage system experience required
• Basic Linux/Unix experience required
• Familiarity with Veeam, Zerto and other backup tools
• Familiarity with ProxMox
• Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks
• Experience configuring firewalls and VPNs
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Customer focused, understanding details and sense of urgency
• Dependability, good attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
