Position Overview
We are seeking a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Coordinator to provide virtual design and construction services and Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination for a variety of projects in the public, federal, and private sectors. This role supports both operations and special projects teams, ensuring accurate digital modeling, efficient coordination, and effective communication between project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Program Robotic Total Station (RTS) digital files on XYZ coordinates for field layout and provide support to field teams using Hilti/Trimble systems.

Create 3D models using programs such as AutoCAD and Revit for project presentations and proposals.

Develop 4D models that integrate project schedules using software such as Synchro or Fuzor.

Lead BIM coordination meetings with subcontractors, track and resolve design clashes.

Convert 2D drawings into accurate 3D models.

Create 3D logistics plans and graphic animations for preconstruction planning and site phasing.

Produce detailed 3D models for plan verification, quality assurance, field production, and workflow planning.

Collaborate with field personnel to address constructability issues using BIM data.

Stay current with advancements in 3D design software through continuous learning.

Maintain and update BIM standards and templates.

Provide quality control to ensure adherence to company standards.

Establish and track budgets for BIM implementation.

Report on the current and projected state of BIM utilization within the organization.

Serve as a liaison with vendors and software suppliers, ensuring proper support for BIM tools.

Travel to project sites outside the immediate market as needed.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Graphics, or Construction Management OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 4 years of relevant VDC/BIM experience.
Qualifications

Experience in large-scale commercial construction.

Proficiency in VDC/BIM modeling and management software, including Autodesk AEC Collection, Revizto, Fuzor/Synchro, SketchUp, and Trimble Field Suite.

Ability to create both 3D and 4D models using VDC software.

Part 107 drone license or willingness to obtain one.

Strong self-motivation and commitment to continued education in BIM, including participation in seminars and conferences.

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships.
