Verification Engineer\n\nContract Duration: 7 Months\n Location: Warwick (Onsite)\nWe are supporting a leading automotive OEM in the search for a highly capable Verification Engineer to join their Steering Systems team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong HIL expertise and a passion for vehicle dynamics, modelling correlation, and mechatronic system validation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of next‑ steering technologies.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop detailed test cases for execution within the Steering System HIL environment\nImplement existing JLR vehicle test procedures into the Steering HIL platform\nOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot the Steering System HIL rig\nCreate and refine analysis methods, metrics, and validation reports\nWork closely with internal customers to understand and deliver test requirements\nCharacterise and compare steering systems, producing clear technical documentation\nCorrelate virtual models with Steering System HIL data and on‑vehicle test results\n\nExperience & Skills Required\n\nExtensive experience with HIL systems such as dSPACE, XPACK4, or equivalent\nStrong knowledge of Vehicle Dynamics\nProven background in mechatronic system verification & validation\nExperience using simulation tools: MATLAB/Simulink, IPG Carmaker, or similar\nProficient programming skills (e.g.
MATLAB, Python, C)\nStrong problem‑solving approach (Six Sigma or equivalent is beneficial)\nKnowledge of Machine Learning techniques (advantageous)\nExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail\nStrong team player with effective communication skills\nUnderstanding of AGILE methodologies\nBSc or MSc in Engineering, Data Science, or a relevant technical discipline\n\nThis role offers the chance to work on cutting‑edge steering technologies within a fast‑paced engineering environment, contributing directly to the development of future vehicle platforms.
