Validation Engineer- Propulsion systems

100% onsite- Auburn Hills, MI

Need a Validation engineer to lead the development and automation of Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for propulsion systems, including internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electric drivetrains. This role will focus on streamlining validation processes, integrating automated tools, and ensuring robust testing coverage across all propulsion components and systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or industrial
• 5+ years of experience in propulsion system development, testing, or validation.
• Strong understanding of propulsion system components (e.g., engines, motors, transmissions, batteries).
• high level knowledge of propulsion system architectures
• Experience with DVP&R processes and tools.
• Proficiency in automation tools such as Python, Excel VBA, or similar scripting .
• Proficiency in simulation and testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, dSpace HIL, INCA
• Basic understanding of MATLAB simulation models
• Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test equipment.
• Working knowledge of OBD Standards, CAN/LIN protocol
