UPS Field Service Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team. This role is essential for providing exceptional service and support to our clients. In this role your primary responsibilities are to travel to our client locations and perform startup service on UPS systems, help perform commissioning, and conduct owner training on operation. You will also conduct repairs, perform preventive maintenance and calibration services on existing units. Our ideal applicant has several years of experience providing maintenance or installation services on Electrical Systems. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLC) and high-voltage circuitry a plus.

Duties

• Travel to customer facilities with all required tools and perform installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
• Perform Startup and Commissioning services
• Read and interpret schematics to ensure unit is set up properly, diagnose electrical and mechanical problems
• Provide technical support by understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns effectively
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
• Complete job reporting paperwork accurately and on-time

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED certificate
• Familiarity with PLC and high-voltage circuitry
• Electrical experience
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
