Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Underground Utility Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of underground utility projects in the Tampa Bay area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction with expertise in underground utilities, including water, sewer, storm drain, and related infrastructure. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish while ensuring safety, quality, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all phases of underground utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.

  • Oversee and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and field crews to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.

  • Develop, monitor, and update project schedules, budgets, and cost controls.

  • Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and accurate execution.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

  • Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships.

  • Prepare and present project reports, updates, and documentation as required.

  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in underground utility construction management or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of underground utility systems (water, sewer, storm, etc.) and civil sitework.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Proficient in project management software, scheduling tools, and MS Office Suite.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
