Our team is seeking multiple strong team members to take the leadership and ownership of the area of Underground Telecommunications Infrastructure (OSP). Apply if you have strong experience and knowledge.

Type of projects our Company is currently working on:

  • Fort Bliss VA Hospital - Telecom Ductwork | Installation of NEW 7-way telecommunications duct bank and manholes to serve new ACG working under CLARK CONSTRUCTION Company.
  • City of El Paso – Expansion. Installation conduit, fiber optic, Maxcell fabric innerduct to provide fiber optic connectivity amongst City facilities in El Paso. This will create the connection to City recreation centers, senior centers, transit terminals and police regional command centers.
  • TEXAS DOT Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Under Railroad Tracks - State Wide.

You will design and configure data communication systems as well as identify areas of improvement to increase efficiency.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional(s) to lead and support underground infrastructure projects for telecommunications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with duct bank installations, conduit systems, fiber optic routing, and coordination with utility providers. This role is critical to ensuring the successful deployment of telecom systems in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee the installation of underground telecom infrastructure including conduit systems, handholes, and fiber pathways.
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, utility companies, and permitting authorities to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Conduct site assessments and prepare technical documentation including trenching plans, cable routing, and as-built drawings.
  • Supervise contractors and field crews during excavation, conduit placement, and backfill operations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and environmental regulations throughout project execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to underground cable damage, routing conflicts, or utility interference.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials, labor, and project milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in underground telecom infrastructure projects (minimum 3 years).
  • Familiarity with NEC, NESC, and local building codes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and utility maps.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic and copper cable systems.
  • Ability to operate or supervise use of trenchers, boring machines, and other excavation equipment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training .

Skills:

  • Experience with, federal, state and city infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of GIS mapping tools and CAD software.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excel, Type words per minute - 40min
