About Our Client:

Our Client specializes in the cleanup and restoration of residential and commercial properties affected by fire, smoke, or water damage. Their highly trained technicians are available 24/7 to respond to emergencies, ensuring timely and professional service. They also offer mold remediation, storm damage restoration, and a range of cleaning services.

Position Overview:

They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Traveling Commercial Project Manager to oversee large-scale restoration projects across various locations. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of projects, from initial assessment through completion, ensuring quality control, efficiency, and profitability. Experience in damage restoration is but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all phases of commercial restoration projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Sub-Contractor Procurement: Identify, vet, negotiate, and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors. Ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Licensing & Permitting: Manage state-level licensing and permitting requirements, ensuring all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Market Analysis: Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to help position the company for continued success.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate on-site teams, including technicians and subcontractors, to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company protocols.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are achieved.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites as required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in project management, preferably in the restoration or construction industry.
    • Experience in sub-contractor procurement, licensing, and permitting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is .
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • A solid understanding of market trends and how they impact restoration and commercial construction projects.
  • Certifications: IICRC certifications in water and smoke restoration are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Other: Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel extensively.
