Position Overview

We are seeking a

Traveling Project Engineer

to join our growing heavy civil construction team. This full-time role requires

regular travel within the region , supporting field operations on various active projects. Periodic

time-off between assignments

will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have

3+ years of hands-on experience

in heavy civil construction including

roadway, earthwork, underground utilities , and related scopes. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in the field and enjoys seeing complex infrastructure projects come to life.

Key Responsibilities

Support Project Managers and Superintendents on active construction projects

Assist with scheduling, documentation, and quality control

Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries

Perform on-site quantity tracking and reporting

Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and submittals

Ensure compliance with project plans, safety protocols, and company standards

Collaborate with field teams to identify and resolve issues promptly

Participate in site meetings, inspections, and progress tracking

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (roadways, utilities, earthwork, etc.)

Willingness to travel full-time throughout the region

Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology

Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications

Proficient in construction software and MS Office Suite

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (but not required)
